Kirchberg in Tirol is a municipality in the Brixental valley in the Kitzbühel Alps, Tyrol, Austria, with approximately 5,206 inhabitants (as of 2025). The village lies at an altitude of 837 m and is only 6 kilometers from the well-known town of Kitzbühel 4 .

Geographically, Kirchberg is located on the valley watershed between the Leukental and Brixental valleys. In addition to the main town, the municipality includes several districts such as Aschau im Spertental, Bockern, Issbühel, and others. Settlement dates back to the Bronze Age, with the first historical mention in 1241. Kirchberg became part of Tyrol 3 in 1816 .
